FAQs

What you're thinking, we've answered.

Everything supporters most often ask about donations, volunteering, and chapters, in one place.

What is Project Pulmonary's mission?
Project Pulmonary works to support pulmonary health through youth-led service, advocacy, and community engagement, with a focus on firefighters facing chronic exposure to airborne carcinogens.
How are donations used?
Donations help support chapter growth, community outreach, service projects, awareness efforts, and initiatives such as hydration drives that directly benefit local fire stations and firefighter support efforts.
Can I volunteer?
Yes. Students and supporters can get involved by joining a local chapter, helping organize service events, participating in outreach, or supporting chapter-led initiatives in their area.
Besides donating, how else can I help?
You can join a chapter, start one at your school, organize a hydration drive, spread awareness on social media, or help connect Project Pulmonary with local schools and communities.
How do I start a chapter?
If there is not already a chapter near you, you can apply through our chapter form to begin the process for your school.
Do I need a local chapter nearby to participate?
No. If there is no chapter in your area, you can still get involved and ask about starting one at your high school.
